Ryan always had an annoying habit of being too observant for his own good. His eyes could dissect and analyze things that others' surely couldn't. The things around him, an error someone else couldn't find, and his specialty; people. Ryan was best at figuring people out. He could tell when they were lying, when they were trying to hide something, when they were nervous or anxious or scared. It was just something that he was good at, and he didn't even have to try.
But he did try when it came to his friends. Like Jon, high on the list of most enigmatic out of the group of boys. Not extremely difficult to figure out, but definately Ryan's first challenge. Mostly because of his hair; Ryan hated Jon's hair. The dark brown locks would lightly sweep over his bright eyes, hiding them from Ryan's view and ultimately crippling him in an attempt to understand him. But sometimes small things would tip him off, like if Jon's smile would reach his lips but didn't exactly carry to the rest of his face. Or if something was bothering him or making him angry, his lisp would become more pronounced, his s's becoming more slurred. Small things.
Spencer, however, was a bit easier to unlock. The younger boy's shocking blue eyes told Ryan everything he needed to know, the almost inhumanely large orbs giving away his emotions whether he wanted to or not. For example, when Spencer would try to express a form of sympathy, his eyebrows would furrow upward and his eyes would become half-lidded and just kind of soften. Ryan couldn't really find a better word for it. And if angry, his eyes would seem to darken, turning a shade of deep blue. And this was something Ryan prided himself in perfecting; Spencer never yelled when he was angry. He'd snap and bitch and sometimes even use a great amount of sarcasm, but that was just Spencer. In general. So Ryan depended on Spencer's eyes, the phrase "the eyes are like windows to the soul" always seeming to pop into his head.
And Brendon. He really shouldn't have made Ryan so confused. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't get into the energetic boy's head. His behavior was easy enough to read; too loud. Obnoxious. Blunt. Clingy. Sympathetic. Funny, etc. But his emotions? A complete mystery to Ryan. Which truely made Ryan angry,s ometimes keeping him up at night until his teeth hurt from grinding them so hard; a person couldn't be that happy and carefree all the time. It just wasn't that possible. And when Ryan would start to think that something was finally bothering the boy, he'd ask, and always get a similar answer. No, I'm okay, really. No, I'm fine. No, your mother's something wrong. Or something along those lines. And it never satisfied Ryan.

A Friday in the life of PatD.
Once upon a time, Spencer Smith was wearing a speedo. He did not like his extremely tight and pink speedo because it might prevent him from having future children with Jon Walker and everyone knows that pink is the color of evil unless you can manage to ward off that evil, but thats a completely different story.
This is why we dont accept gifts from obsessed fangirls! Spencer shouted at Brendon Urie, the man responsible for his current misfortune. Brendon was scarily and impossibly close to tears and giving Spencer the biggest puppy eyes he has ever seen, well, ever. Thats when our favorite lyrist/guitarist Ryan

Insomnia
Mikey Way could not sleep. He wasn't sure why. Maybe it was because of the stifling heat of his bedroom, despite the obnoxious whir of his ceiling fan. Maybe it was because of how loud said fan was. Maybe it was due to the hum of the summer cicadas outside or the flashing of lightening bugs on the other side of his window. Maybe it was because of the ache in his legs from all the running his best friend Frank Iero had made him do in the last two days. Or maybe it was because he couldn't stop thinking about what he'd heard his older brother saying just six hours ago.
Mikey rolled over with a groan and glared blearily at his clock. Yeah, 2:30
